Good day! Thanks for checking out our shop. My name is Banen - pronounced like Shannon with a B. My husband is Andy and our crazy little daughter is Maizie.

I coached college cheer and dance in Kansas City, Missouri before moving to St. John. I also worked in custom apparel sales. I am so grateful to be able to put my experience to work with our shop, Coral Bay Adventures. 

I've worked all over the island, even on St. Thomas for a bit. It didn't take me long to realize that working for off-island owners was not the best way to serve our community. I opened Coral Bay Adventures in January of 2022. Our initial goal was to charter out of a fun little retail shop, but then life happened. I found out I was pregnant a few days after completing the masters portion of my captains license. Since then, instead of being on the water, I have poured my heart and soul into the shop. Our offerings have changed over these last couple of years, but the message remains the same, high-quality merchandise should not cost a fortune. Shipping and ease of access is not a valid excuse to charge $48 for a t-shirt. 

My sister and I design all of our apparel. We don't use templates, we start from scratch. You will not find these designs anywhere else. 

I hope you enjoy our little shop. We are in the Coccoloba Shops attached to Dolphin Market in Coral Bay, next door to the old Aqua Bistro space. Come visit when you're on island!
